I am a very skilled teacher who adapts to the needs of the class I am teaching. I have studied in various places over the past three years including gaining a RYT 200 at Vikasa Yoga and more recently spent time learning at a number of places in India. I teach detox and stretching classes with a focus on breathing. I am also a certified masseuse and I incorporate this in my classes, adjusting my students as and when needed.
My style of teaching is designed to make my students feel deep inner peace with their mind, body and spirit.
I have been a sporty person since I was young and enjoyed a variety of sports such as, volleyball, badminton and swimming. All the sports, not only helped me be a stronger and healthier person, but also my love of exercise has led to me being a yoga teacher.
I started learning Intensive yoga in 2013 with a Thai teacher in Chiang Mai. I learned various styles of yoga, Hatha, Vinyasa, Stretching, Yin, Ashtanga, Breathing, Meditation, and immediately fell in love with yoga. I knew I wanted this to be a big part of my life and after I finished the course I taught for my teacher’s studio for a while. In 2014, I want to step up a level, so I completed the RYT 200 hours course at Vikasa, (The Yoga Evolution) in Koh Samui with Costa Miachin. I went on to study a course in India too in 2016.
Nowadays, I have my own yoga studio on Soi Sukkasem, Nimmanhemin Road, in Chiang Mai. And also teach yoga at various places around Chiang Mai including private classes.
I believe that practicing yoga allows us to go inward and to see where we are stopping a naturally peaceful state. It helps us see where we limiting ourselves in our habitats and beliefs, helps us find true freedom and happiness whilst keeping our bodies healthy and minds positive.
Namaste, I’m Koi, 33 years old with10 years experience learning Yoga and 7 years of teaching in Chiang Mai.
My Yoga journey started at CMU when i was a student there. It quickly became my passion and the biggest part of my life. Over these years i’ve attended numerous workshops teaching various Yoga ‘styles’ including Ashtanga, Iyenga, Anusara and Yin Yoga.
I’ve blended and incorporated aspects of these styles into my own practice and teaching. In 2016 my Yoga journey led me to the Wise Living Ashram in Doi Saket, Thailand where i gained a 200 hour Teacher training qualification in ‘Traditional’ yoga affiliated to the Yoga Institute, Mumbai, India which is the oldest yoga school in the World.
My eyes have now been opened to all the wonderful aspects of Yoga including Pranayama (Control of bio energy through breathing techniques), meditation, nutrition and lifetyle changes.
I love to teach and to see my students awaken and grow with this wonderful gift of Yoga and i always remember that firstly our practice must be fun!
Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti
